Game Background
Why is our game about alchemy? And what games about alchemy can we even remember? For example, the recent ones are Potion Craft, the mini-game from Harry Potter, Minecraft, and the mechanics in Elder Scrolls.
As fans of old games, we were inspired by Might&Magic VIII from 2000. It's an iconic game in the Heroes universe. Alchemy in that game is simply part of the mechanics, where the player crafts potions, and if they fail, they take damage equivalent to the potion level.
There are thousands of fantasy games where you must kill someone, but we decided to do something different. A secondary goal was to simplify the interfaces (UX/UI) and present complex things through the lens of crafting that everyone can quickly grasp.

In 2020, Goblinswap, one of the first gamified DEX games using NFT staking, appeared in the crypto space.
Goblinswap was built on the Nuls modular blockchain using the Proof of Credit (PoC) consensus protocol. Nuls is little known in 2023, as it was in 2020. However, in the development stage, the developers of Goblinswap considered it the optimal solution due to its speed and low transaction costs.
This game became the prototype of Magic Alchemy.
With great potential for development, Goblinswap had many shortcomings: the lack of a marketplace as such (later players created the "ore black market" on their own), uncomfortable interface, and perhaps most importantly - the game had not developed and ceased to exist within a couple of months after launch.
